Today, I awoke to you as my very first sight. What a sight to see first thing, standing before me, waiting for your big day to begin. My brand new 6 year old boy. His day, his big proud day. You say he seems bigger, stronger and wiser. Empowerment. Cathal, My 10th century Celtic Warrior, standing before me. And all you got was a small little box of building blocks for your future castles. But you hugged me as hard as you could. Your innocence intact. Your gratitude still standing. You are 6 years old today, my boy, Cal, Cathal, Cat. You are me and you combined and hopefully so much more, but for now, that will do. That smile, with those stories 'bout the ole' school yard, with that potential, with that hair, with that ability, with that love, with that name....life is good!
